Old relationship excites the mind?
A group of friends somehow initiated the idea of celebrating the 25th anniversary since we left high school. That was the last time majority of us were together, sweet young things at 17 years of age.
This attempt of gathering of now 42 year olds is somewhat very daunting. Then, there were no pretense, no expectations and no hidden agenda. It was pure fun and carefree. Some learn the meaning of love and end up marrying their schoolmates. Some had ‘serious’ relationship sans happy ending.
Whenever I thought of old relationship it brings back a whole lot of mixed emotions.. Words is not just enough to describe the feelings that runs through. The what ifs’ keeps on playing like broken records. Thinking about it awaken the part that you thought had died off. Unfortunately it did not but just stay hidden and all this while has been subconciously lying low.
A recent encounter has somehow awaken the subconcious and its terrifying as well as exciting which confused the heart and mind further.
We all require certain relationships in our lives. Some, we wish we could avoid, while others it seems we can never get enough of.
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same.
